The title doubles as my own debut. My goodness! I've submitted my first completed picture! I feel empowered.
Lady Yate-xel's Song Without a Name accessed emotions I didn't even know I had. It's truly a terrific piece of literature and I strongly recommend it. Nny and Edgar's clothes here are from the 80's themed "concert" when they first appeared, literally, as a band. Lady Yate-xel came up with these outfits and I just wanted to stay true to her initial idea. You can find the picture in her gallery.
This drawing has been nudging me since I first heard "The Greatest Show Unearthed" by Creature Feature, the lyrics of which were used as the Homicides' first song. I can always imagine Edgar really diggin' his keyboard solo. "Johnny singing even sort of in his direction was enough to either make him play the worst or best notes of his life, often at the same time."--Chapter 17 of SWAN
