Ability to concentrate > depth perception

Tue Sep 15, 2009, 4:07 PM
  • Listening to: Elfman/Lurie "Burial"--tragic, beautiful
  • Reading: Textbooks, yay!
  • Watching: 9MASH videos on Youtube
  • Drinking: Raspberry tea
Good idea: Seeing 9.
Bad idea: Seeing it only ONCE.

My goodness. How PERFECT--urghlbuh.<3<3 I loved it to pieces. And yes, it has its tiny flaws if you look reeeeally close and if you're harsh about it--every film does--but the better parts of it FAR OUTSHINED ANY OF THOSE. So much love. And so many nods to Mr. Acker's 2005 short!

I knew--I just KNEW--2 was going to be my absolute favorite character in anything ever. I was shocked at how much I fell in love with 5, though. (Always liked him, too, but holy talisman I now LOVE him.) I remember either of them and just dissolve in their mutual awesomeness. 2 was so optimistic and caring, and 5 was compassionate and honest, and they were both so brave in the face of their fears (although a certain stitchpunk may have been more anxious than the other, heh). And all their lines! 2 was very wise, and 5 was lighthearted when...well, that line he said, not minding that he has only one eye because it's easier to concentrate on one thing at a time? SO refreshing. <3

Ah, I made a mistake. I wanted to make a coherent review but I find that any sentence I start ends in garbled fanspeak. (Sorry!)

I can say this much: Shane? Focus? Everyone involved? FREAKING FANTASTIC JOB, THERE. THANK YOU MUCHLY.
